Why I’m Heading to Saudi Arabia

Over the next 19 days, I’ll be on a Saudi Arabia travel journey — from Riyadh to Jeddah, AlUla, and the Red Sea. This trip is about more than just visiting the highlights. It’s about understanding the culture, exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites, and uncovering experiences that go beyond the guidebooks.

What I’ll Be Exploring Over 19 Days

Saudi Arabia is a land of contrasts. One day I’ll be walking through ultra-modern cities, and the next I’ll be standing among ancient rock-carved tombs. I’ll be exploring colourful markets, trying traditional cuisine, and discovering landscapes that range from sweeping deserts to coral-filled seas. By travelling across the country for nearly three weeks, I’ll return with first-hand insights to share with those curious about discovering this destination for themselves.

Sharing Insights Soon

Once I’m back, I’ll be sharing detailed updates on the best places to visit, what surprised me most, and how Saudi Arabia fits into a bigger Middle East adventure. For now, consider this just the beginning — stay tuned for fresh stories and tips that will help shape your own expedition travel plans in the months ahead.

Journey Update (Week One)
Our first week in Saudi Arabia has been incredible — from exploring the historic Love Market in Dammam to standing beneath the towering cliffs of Qara Caves. Riyadh has been a fascinating contrast of heritage and modern design, and the hospitality has been exceptional. Next stop: the ancient wonders of Al Ula!
